Transfixed amongst revellers and wine
A place of such pleasure there can be no crime
Intimate suffering, to thrill my craving, but once contrived it is so becoming

Evensong resounding in a thoughtless race
To seduce my love twixt a fever's embrace
The fragrant attar of the vulpine Eve
Such heat her pallid portrait bequeaths

Pure of salt and sweet of death
I, the darkness at her breast

To thee I pledge my love
Excise the flesh and suck the blood
With whimpers of licentious despair
You arouse my strength and I leave you bare

Bittersweet tears I lap from staring eyes
Hiss at the dawn and heed the watchman's cries
Savour the corpse with a parting kiss
Swiftly retire unto my cryptic abyss
Cradled within earth's grave embrace
I await the moon's forthcoming face
And the restless wolves to eerily recite
